CHARACTER INFO
Name: Moses
Gender: Male
Source: Attack The Block (Movie)
Canon point: Shortly after the movie concludes
Age: 15
Colour: 906A66
Chumhandle: brothersOath
History:
- Lives in "The Block", a housing project apartment complex in Brixton, with his frequently-absent uncle.
- He's the leader of a group of other boys around his age, who run under a larger gang that controls their building and the surrounding area. This gang is led by Hi-Hatz, and is involved in muggings and drug trading.
- Then, aliens attack.
Personality:
Moses is basically a study in contradictions. He's far from a "good kid" - he's the leader of a gang, and he's seen mugging people and using and selling drugs without suffering any crippling attacks of remorse. But he's also someone with a strong sense of morality and responsibility, who cares for his friends in the way a soldier cares for his comrades. To him, if you're part of his crew - or even just part of his neighborhood - then that means he holds a responsibility towards you.
He's a 15 year old boy without any real supervision or guidance, so he makes the occasional really dumb testosterone-fueled decision. But if his actions ends up putting the people he holds responsibility towards in danger, then he'll do anything to set things right. Even if it means putting himself on the line, even if he doesn't recieve any appreciation or acknowlegement, he's still willing to do whatever it takes.
It takes him quite a while to warm up to someone, especially if they're not from his block, higher class, or associated with the law. Even among friends, he's pretty quiet and reserved.
He tends to assume the position of leader in his gang, not so much out of a desire for power as a desire to protect his friends. It would be fair to say that leadership comes naturally to him. He has an extraordinary capacity for strategizing and making decisions on the spot, holding a group together, and leading people through difficult situations.
Abilities & physical limitations: Moses has spent most of his life alternately getting in fights and running like hell, so he's rather good at those two things. He's got the same physical abilities and strength that you would expect an athletic kid his age to have. In addition, he's able to fight with a variety of weapons; he's seen using shitty katanas and knives, and he'd probably be able to hold his own with anything you could reasonably expect an inner-city teen to use as a weapon (fists, baseball bat, gun, etc)
Strife Specibus: Bladekind
Prototyping: Tooth from one of the monsters. Enemies gain giant glow-in-the-dark blue teeth; general gorilla-wolf-motherfucker-y appearance. Sprite is mostly uninterested in Moses, other players, or the game; it communicates mostly in growls and shrieks.
Title: Shield of Kin
In-game abilities: The "Shield" is an active class, concerned with protecting, or preventing damage to, a person or element. The element of "Kin" refers to the people (or elements) that the player holds a relationship with.
Some of the abilities that Moses could gain while playing include increased endurance, increased ability to withstand physical damage, and the ability to reroute damage from others (especially those he holds a relationship with) to himself.
Planet: Land of Towers and Thunder
-"Towers", in this case, refers to estate towers, like the one Moses lives in.
-When the player first enters the medium, they are inside a gigantic apartment complex.
-Outside of the tower, the planet resembles the inner city at dusk - lots of grafitti and concrete and garbage. There are many other towers besides the first one. On top of each tower, there is a gate. In the distance, there is always the sound of thunder, and the glow of far-off lightning.
- The consorts are pitbulls.
- The Denizen of the land, Shango, led a gang that gained influence over most of the planet, before stepping down from his leadership role and retreating to his penthouse apartment in the planet's highest tower. Since then, there have been numerous attempts to take his place; however, none of these attempts have fruitful, and the gang remains leaderless and chaotic.
-In order to reach their full potential, the player of the land must seek him out in his tower, and recieve his blessing.
